Job Description
      • Oversee all aspects of the NCR (Non Conforming Reports) for all of Pocasset/Lynnwood/UK Sites
      • Work with purchasing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented
      • Maintain and update critical supplier audit system and schedule
      • Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement
      • Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI's, including Supplier OTD (Past due), DPPM and waste
      • Establish specific short / long term supplier quality goals
      • Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances
      • Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply
      • Develop long-term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction ideas
      • Aide manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials following a defined new product development process
      • Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting our requirements. Projects may include: process analysis, value stream mapping, process capability and throughput analysis, 6-Sigma, 5S and Kaizen events
      • Drive "Zero Defect" mentality within the supply base
      • Communicate engineering and manufacturing specifications to supplier technical teams
      • Actively manage suppliers to ensure there are no regressions with the implementation of new processes
      • Aide in the new, probationary and rejected supplier transition processes
      • Travel to supplier locations to resolve quality problems
      • Assure compliance to all applicable legal requirements pertaining to the environmental aspects and impacts. Work to help achieve the performance goals established in the environmental measurement areas. Offer suggestions that can lead to improved environmental performance whenever possible
      • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems
      • Identify and record any problems relating to the product process and quality system
      • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels
      • Verify the implementation of solutions Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering laboratory and production functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess control and manage risks of product quality and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for development acceptance criteria (parameters based on product result). May undertake root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action. Ensures that corrective measures and deviation meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications
        • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
        • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance #LI-MH1 Preferred Requirements Understanding of project management (experience preferred) Knowledge of various quality system methodologies 8D, Lean, 5 Why's, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, 8-D, DFMEA, PFEMA, PPAP, etc. preferred Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, work well with diverse groups of people and be able to function independently of direct supervision Physical Requirements May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
