Entry Level Electromagnetic Effects Design and Analysis Engineer
- Level 1 Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Electrical
Engineering Core Group is seeking an Entry Level Electromagnetic
Effects Test, Analysis and Design Engineer. This position requires
the candidate to work out of Oklahoma City, OK . The engineer will
be responsible for performing analyses, developing test procedures,
conducting test, troubleshooting, and writing test reports in
accordance with MIL-STD-464 and DO-160 for Boeing Commercial
Airplane (BCA) efforts and Continued Air Worthiness (CAW) efforts.
The engineer will also provide EMI/EMC expertise to design and
modification efforts of products being developed throughout Boeing.
Primary job responsibilities will include: Coordinate, test, and
verify aircraft Continued Airworthiness requirements and in-service
performance with teammates and customers through development and
sustainment. Assist with the development of Continued Airworthiness
Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports. Develop, test, and
verify software architecture and requirements needed to process and
analyze aircraft EME protection feature characteristics and
reliability. Coordinate, test, and verify EMI/EMC requirements with
teammates, customers, and system architects through development and
sustainment. Assist with the development of EMI/EMC Control Plans,
Test Procedures, and Test Reports. Assist with EMI/EMC analyses and
implement mitigation mechanisms to assure compatibility and safety
of new and existing systems and interfaces. Assist the evaluation
of supplier data and design drawings to verify and correct system
design to EMI/EMC standards. Support EMI/EMC testing of hardware
and software systems in both lab and on-aircraft environments to
verify adherence to Boeing and FAA and/or Military requirements.
Support project management by tracking and reporting project
status, by generating bids and requirements, and by providing work
statement, budget, and schedule. Research, analyze, and document
aircraft EME protection feature parameters for inclusion into the
MSG3 process. Other job responsibilities may include: Assists
airline customers in troubleshooting maintenance failures on EME
features. Develop and implement Test Automation for aircraft
modifications Apply EMI engineering technology experience to
document and solve complex problems Perform trade studies,
modeling, simulation and other forms of analyses to predict
component, interconnects, and system performance and to optimize
design Apply conversion, correction, and antenna factors to EMI/EMC
analyses and test Work on a cross-functional support team and
communicate clearly in various review boards both internally &
externally Process engineering data into meaningful tables and
graphs for inclusion into reports. This position requires the
ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US
Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S.
Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/Experience): Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in
engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics or
physics. Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time as
required Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): An
ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a
Master’s/PhD in electrical engineering Active U.S. Security
Clearance Familiarity in the defense or aerospace industry Previous
experience of MIL-STD-461/464 and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC Knowledge of
Continued Airworthiness of Internal HIRF and Lightning Protection
CFR 25.1316 and CFR 25.1317 Compliance Knowledge and experience
with Coordination and verification of LRU Internal protection
Compliance Summary Requirements Knowledge and experience with LRU
Internal HIRF & Lightning Protection Requirements Review Knowledge
and experience leading the evaluation of supplier data and design
drawings to verify and correct system design to EMI/EMC standards
Familiarity with Boeing tools: IVT, Equipment Manager, WLI Viewer,
CSDT, EMEIS, PSDS, ETAC, and DCCS. Experience with MS Office tool
suite Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal
and/or written) to key stakeholders Relocation: This position

Summary Pay Range: $62,050 - 83,950 Language Requirements: Not
