Job Description Job Description Quality Technician Lead The
Quality Technician Lead oversees daily quality inspection
activities on 2nd shift to ensure products meet all company
specifications and quality standards. This role provides hands?on
support with line audits, defect containment, documentation, and
coaching of auditors/inspectors. The Quality Technician Lead
partners closely with production, safety, and quality leadership to
drive compliance, maintain product integrity, and lead continuous
improvement efforts across the shift. This is a Direct Hire
opportunity. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary quality
contact for 2nd shift production teams. Coordinate and prioritize
hourly line audits across all running processes. Provide guidance,
real?time feedback, and support to Line Auditors/Inspectors. Ensure
all inspection requirements, checklists, and control plans are
followed consistently. Perform visual inspections following
established checklists to identify imperfections, contamination, or
deviations from specifications. Verify and validate escalated
findings from auditors, ensuring accurate classification of
defects. Document defects and place nonconforming parts into
containment areas according to procedure. Communicate quality
issues promptly to the Line Lead, Quality Supervisor, and
production personnel. Review hourly audit sheets for accuracy and
completeness. Maintain detailed quality records, logs, and shift
summaries. Report recurring defects, trends, or out?of?control
situations to leadership for root?cause investigation. Support
corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities as requested.
Train new inspectors on quality standards, inspection techniques,
and documentation. Reinforce best practices and coach team members
in proper evaluation and judgment techniques. Support ongoing
training initiatives related to quality systems, inspection
updates, and work instructions. Participate actively in 5S, lean
principles, and continuous improvement projects. Enforce adherence
to all safety policies, PPE requirements, and workplace
regulations. Model safe work habits and immediately address unsafe
behaviors or conditions. Ensure work areas, tools, and inspection
stations remain clean, organized, and audit?ready at all times.
Follow company Quality Policy and Quality Objectives without
exception . Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High
school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in quality
inspection, line auditing, or manufacturing strongly preferred.
Ability to recognize visual defects and interpret work
instructions, diagrams, and specifications. Strong attention to
detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent communication and
teamwork skills. Ability to train, coach, and guide others
effectively. Basic computer/data entry skills for documentation and
reporting. Factory/production environment with regular interaction
across the production floor. Requires standing, walking, and
performing repetitive inspection tasks for extended periods.
Exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures depending on
plant conditions. Job Details: Direct Hire 2 nd shift Pay $28-$36
