Electrical Engineering Manager (First Level ) Company: The
Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) OKC
Airplane Systems and Electrical Engineering Group is seeking an Ele
ctrical Engineering Manager – First Level in Oklahoma City, OK.
This engineering management position will be responsible for
leading the engineering team that provides Electrical Power and
Load Analyses technical expertise in our OKC Airplane Systems
Group. The selected candidate will be proving leadership for
Military and Commercial Airplanes (737, 767, 787 and 777) diverse
projects that deal with supplier and partner qualification data to
ensure compliance to Boeing and FAA requirements. Management
responsibilities include mentoring and coaching all levels of
engineers providing knowledge transfer to aid in growing our next
generation of leaders and engineers. Additional management
responsibilities include managing resources for the daily
engineering assignments that deal with Boeing Military Aircraft,
Military Derivative Aircraft and Rotorcraft (AEW&C, AWACS,
C-32/C-40, E-4B, VC-25A, KC-767, E-6, AC-130U, B-1B, B-2, B-52,
V-22, and others) and diverse projects in the area of supplier and
partner qualification data, Electrical Power Quality and Load
analysis, and Test Automation for aircraft modifications.
Responsibilities include managing resources, processes, program
support and Airplane Systems Functional participation in a manner
that supports successful Program execution; development and
implementation of viable schedules and resource plans along with
effective coordination and communication with all BDS, BGS,
BR&T, ET&T and BCA site projects regarding all phases of
Airplane Systems design and support. A successful candidate will
have demonstrated performance as a leader capable of managing a
diverse workforce and coordinating resources across multiple
programs at multiple sites. The candidate must excel in an
innovative, rapid paced environment with challenging and ambiguous
requirements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships
with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products
and processes. Leads team in continuous process improvements
including application of Lean principles. Manages, develops,
motivates diverse employees and regularly meet one-on-one with each
employee. Other job responsibilities may include… Manages employees
performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of
Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Develops and executes
project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and
sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and
processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads
process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and
partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and
direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical
approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates
employees. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The
selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma
City, OK. This position requires the ability to obtain a US
Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US
Citizenship. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree 3 years of experience leading or managing a team.
5 years of experience in an engineering position dealing with large
scale aerospace products. Willingness to travel at least 25% of the
time is required Preferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience): Active U.S. Security Clearance ABET accredited
engineering degree Previous experience in the defense or aerospace
industry Previous experience in Electromagnetic Effects Previous
experience in Management Relocation: This position offers

considerations. Summary pay range: $130,900 – 177,100 Language
