In collaboration with departments across campus, New Student Programs welcomes students to the OU community and connects them to resources, provides opportunities to find community among their peers, and equips students with tools to be successful throughout their time on campus and beyond. -About the Assistant to the Executive Director and Office Manager positionReporting to the Executive Director of New Student Programs, this position provides high level responses to requests of the executive director. This position acts as office manager for the New Student Programs office; coordinates staff development, manages websites and social media accounts in conjunction with the Director of Communications of the Division of Student Affairs, and provides general support to the executive director and New Student Services office. This position is responsible for assisting the executive director in day-to-day activities of the office. Assisting in the organizing, coordinating, and performing clerical duties following established standards. This individual will also be responsible for managing the operations for the office. This includes serving as the front-line staff member to guests, answering phones and emails, and assisting staff member with general office issues.

Required Education: -High School Diploma or GED, AND: -

-48 months office, clerical, or administrative experience.Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months experience in lieu of the Bachelor's -Degree for a total of 72 months related experience -Skills:
Good organizational skills -Creativity in composing or presenting oral and written communicationAbility to perform basic math functions including fractions and percentages -Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing applicationsKnowledge of correct grammatical structure, vocabulary and formats, and read and understand written materialsCreativity in composing or presenting oral and written communication, word processingGood written and personal communication and organizational skillsDetail oriented for accuracy of data and informationHighly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlinesAble to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiativesStrong initiative to solve problemsAbility to work with minimal supervision, self-motivated on daily tasks and complete work within deadlinesAdvertised Physical Requirements:
