Talantage Staffing Solutions is recruiting for skilled and experienced Registered Nurses for several contract to permanent positions. --The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide healthcare services to patients within the scope of their license to practice medicine and at the direction of a licensed provider.-- The RN may be expected to oversee aspects of care delivered by those possessing lower level licensure or credentials (i.e., LPN, CMA, etc.).Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-- The RN is a member of the clinical team and is responsible to deliver appropriate nursing care within a multi-disciplinary setting.-- Specific responsibilities include:Performs and assures timely completion of Practice's patient screens, assures immediate healthcare needs for patients are achieved, and that appropriate follow-up is coordinated.Performs nursing assessments and treatments according to defined nursing protocols or provider orders.Implement and/or coordinate provider orders, including administration of prescription medication, application of surgical dressings and bandages, specialty and subspecialty referrals, IV therapy and other medical interventions, as ordered.Monitor, record and reports symptoms and changes in patients' conditions.Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' condition.Respond to emergent or urgent medical situations, and performs emergency first aid and CPR, as indicated.Evaluate patient health status and assure appropriate documentation in patient records as required.Conduct, joint counts, as directed for narcotics, sharps and critical tools.Assure timely and accurate documentation of provider orders in the Electronic Health Records System.Demonstrates the ability to lead and direct medical colleagues with a lower level of licensure or certification.Demonstrates sound judgment in reporting appropriate information to supervisor concerning impediments to the adequate provision of care.Ensuring the confidentiality and rights of patients, the confidentiality of the practice and department, documents, and adhering to HIPAA Regulations.Skills and Abilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
