Under the directions of the Nurse Manager and Registered Nurse (RN), the LPN will work within their entire scope of practice. The LPN will be fully accountable for ensuring that the utmost in competent care and safety is consistently delivered to all patients. In addition, the LPN is responsible for assisting registered nurses in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care for patients in accordance with the plan of care. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Qualifications:Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.Licensure: Current Oklahoma licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required. Experience: New Graduate LPN's are eligible for this position.Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.Other: Demonstrated excellent clinical competence, interpersonal team-building, collaboration, negotiation, problem-solving, as well as spoken and written communication skills. Must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law.Preferred Experience: at least (1) year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Preferred Certifications: ACLS, PALS and NRP certification must be obtained prior to working in areas that require applicable certification.
