Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Operating Room (OR) - Ortho/Spine Job Duration: Not specified Shift: 12 hours (06:30-19:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Operating Room RN Experience required License: State License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing - Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred - Master of Science in Nursing preferred Job Description: - Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills. - Collaborate with other health professionals, assessing and analyzing assessment data. - Establish goals, plan care strategies, and set priorities of care. - Implement care and delegate tasks safely. - Provide safe direct and indirect nursing care. - Evaluate responses to interventions and perform additional nursing functions. - Plan, prepare, and provide individualized peri-operative care using the nursing process. - Direct surgery department staff in the care of surgical patients. - Care for all ages of patients, from infants to geriatric. - Participate in a 16-week orientation with a dedicated preceptor, learning to circulate cases in all service lines. - Be on call for 5-7 days per month and cover one full weekend of call per month.
