credentials required Certifications: AHA BLS required Must-Have:
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis
in a primary cardiovascular specialty OR a graduate of a JRCERT
accredited educational program with emphasis in a radiologic
technology specialty Core to intermediate-level knowledge and
understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology Ability
to work independently with limited direction Description: This
position operates under general to limited supervision. It is
essential for delivering specialized cardiovascular and/or
radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient
populations. The role aids medical staff in the diagnosis, care,
treatment, and surveillance of conditions, defects, and diseases.
Maintains competencies required to perform the essential duties of
a Level I position. Provides safe, high-quality, efficient, and
cost-effective patient-centric care and support services. Works in
a variety of care settings including acute inpatient facilities,
outpatient physician practices, and diagnostic/urgent care centers.
Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history
with orders from physicians. Communicates and collaborates with
patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team to achieve
clinical outcomes and service expectations. Utilizes specialized
imaging equipment and techniques to perform diagnostic,
interventional, and/or surgical procedures. Conducts post-procedure
reviews independently to confirm completion and quality of studies.
Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies
for physician reporting. Performs operator-level quality control
checks, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting. Participates in
continuing education and professional development to maintain
competencies. Provides instruction and mentors less experienced
team members. Assists with quality assurance and performance
improvement tasks as assigned. Displays initiative and commitment
towards efficient completion of assignments. Demonstrates the
ability to prioritize and complete work independently. Applies core
to intermediate-level theory and techniques to study data or
documentation. Must be sensitive to patients’ physical and
psychological needs.
