qualified OR RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104! Pay Information
$2,146 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Surgical Specialty
Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Surgical Transplant
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 36 Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of Stepdown/PCU experience. Travel experience
preferred. Transplant experience preferred. License: Current RN
License Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the
American Heart Association Must-Have: - Associate's Degree in
Nursing from an accredited program - Knowledge of professional
nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures - Ability to
organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply
nursing techniques - Ability to maintain good working relationships
with other employees - Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of
patients and visitors - Some computer skills Description: Under
general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a
variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to
complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed
medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders on
assigned patients. Assists physicians in the examination of
patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients and observes
physiological manifestations, intervening when necessary.
Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and
monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient
care competently. Interacts with family and patients in sharing
care plans while in the hospital and at the time of discharge.
Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes
referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as
assigned. This is a mixed stepdown and acute care unit that cares
for post-surgical kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients.
It also cares for pre-transplant patients being evaluated for a
transplant during their inpatient stay. Patients require close
monitoring for infection, rejection, and timely medication
