Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical Intensive Care Unit Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,362 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified MICU RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104! Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of experience required License: Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN License Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association Must-Have: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. Assists physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients. Observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with family and patients in sharing the care plan while in the hospital and at the time of discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrates knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services. Maintains good working relationships with other employees. Exhibits good verbal and written communication skills. Responds effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
