Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Must have NICU experience in a level I trauma setting • 1 year of nursing experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required • Current Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required • PALS (American Heart Association) certification required • Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed • Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge planning • Make referrals to appropriate personnel regarding patient care needs • Delegate tasks to support staff • Maintain good working relationships with other employees • Respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors Facility: This children's hospital is a specialized pediatric healthcare facility that provides comprehensive medical services for infants, children, and adolescents.
