Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Provide nursing care for 4W Surgical Transplant unit - a mixed stepdown and acute care floor /n• Care for post-surgical kidney, liver and pancreas transplant patients /n• Manage pre-transplant patients undergoing evaluation during inpatient stay /n• Monitor patients closely for infection, rejection, and ensure timely medication delivery /n• Must have travel experience and stepdown/PCU experience required /n• Level 1 experience required /n• Acute care surgical floor experience mandatory /n• ENT and/or Transplant experience preferred /n• Will not accept OR candidates /n• Minimum 1 year nursing experience required /n• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required /n• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred /n• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required /n• Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required /n• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments /n• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products /n• Obtain and monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary /n• Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge planning /n• Delegate tasks to support staff and make appropriate referrals /n/n Facility: /n This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services including advanced transplant programs.
