Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Lawton, OK Agency: Compunnel Healthcare Pay: $2,000 to $2,200 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical / Orthopedics (Contract) Location Lawton, OK Assignment Length 13-Week Contract Schedule Day Shift Hours may include weekends and holidays based on unit needs. Job Summary The Medical-Surgical Orthopedic Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical conditions and orthopedic injuries or post-operative orthopedic procedures. This 13-week contract position supports a busy acute care unit and requires strong clinical skills, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans Provide post-operative care for orthopedic patients, including joint replacements and fracture repairs Monitor vital signs, neurovascular status, pain levels, and mobility Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care per provider orders Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and use of orthopedic equipment Educate patients and families on post-operative care, mobility, pain management, and discharge planning Collaborate with physicians, physical and occupational therapy, and interdisciplinary teams Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record Adhere to infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines Qualifications Required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma or compact license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Previous Med/Surg and/or Orthopedic nursing experience Ability to commit to a 13-week assignment
