Trustaff is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg / Stepdown Transplant | Travel Contract Licensure & Certifications: Active OK or Compact License BLS (AHA) required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required BSN preferred Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of RN experience Acute care surgical floor experience required (ENT and/or transplant experience preferred) Stepdown/PCU experience preferred Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues Basic computer skills Preceptor and charge nurse experience preferred Under general supervision, provides nursing care to patients on a mixed Med/Surg and Stepdown transplant floor. Delivers safe, evidence-based care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Unit Details & Responsibilities Include: Care for post-surgical kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients Care for pre-transplant patients undergoing inpatient evaluation Close monitoring for infection, organ rejection, and medication administration Provide care on either Med/Surg or Stepdown patients depending on unit needs and acuity Monitor, assess, and document patient responses to treatments and interventions Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions Coordinate care and make referrals to appropriate personnel Delegate tasks to support staff as needed Perform other duties as assigned About Trustaff Our nurse-first attitude has set us apart from other travel nursing agencies When you join the Trustaff family, you’re more than just a body filling a role—you're a vibrant individual with dreams and aspirations.
