Type: Travel Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered
Nurse (RN) with oncology and chemotherapy administration experience
to join a hospital-based clinic. Under general supervision, the RN
will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with health
conditions ranging from simple to complex, with a strong focus on
chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment. This role requires
clinical expertise, strong patient education skills, and the
ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and
multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Chemotherapy
Administration & Clinical Care - Administer PO medications,
subcutaneous injections, chemotherapy drugs, IV infusions, and
blood products as ordered - Monitor and document patient responses
to treatments and nursing interventions - Consult with physicians
and provide expertise regarding chemotherapy, side effects, and
symptom management - Assist physicians with conscious sedation and
minor diagnostic procedures - Monitor patient physiological status
and intervene as necessary Patient Education & Follow-Up - Provide
chemotherapy and immunotherapy education to patients and families -
Inform patients and families about clinic procedures and discharge
planning - Conduct phone triage and follow-up calls post-treatment
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments Team
Collaboration - Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff -
Maintain accurate documentation of physician orders and treatment
plans - Support clinic-specific assignments and workflow
coordination - Maintain strong communication with interdisciplinary
team members Required Qualifications - Minimum 1 year of RN
experience - Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited
program - Active RN License (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or
Multistate Compact License – eNLC) - Current BLS (American Heart
Association) - Current ACLS (American Heart Association) - ONS
Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration -
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate - Strong knowledge
of professional nursing practices and oncology care - Ability to
provide culturally competent patient care - Basic computer
proficiency Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor of Science in
Nursing (BSN) Ideal Candidate - Experienced in oncology or infusion
clinic settings - Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities - Able to
coordinate care and respond effectively in dynamic clinical
