Job Description GQR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Geriatrics for a travel nursing job in Edmond, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Geriatrics - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel This role is 36 hours per week, 3x12s, on the day shift. The rate of $22 per hour is the rate for travelers, or those living more than 50 miles away from Edmond, OK. We’re looking for a compassionate Geriatric Psychiatric Nurse (RN) to provide specialized behavioral health care for older adults experiencing psychiatric and cognitive conditions. Responsibilities - Assess and monitor geriatric patients with mental health conditions such as dementia, depression, and anxiety - Administer medications and evaluate patient responses and side effects - Develop and implement individualized behavioral health care plans - Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams - Educate patients and families on treatment plans and mental health support Requirements - Active RN license - Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, geriatric, or long-term care nursing preferred - Strong communication, observation, and crisis management skills About GQR Healthcare GQR’s Healthcare team specializes in connecting experts within the industry to highly skilled healthcare professionals across the US market.
