Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced
RN - PACU for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I trauma center,
requiring a minimum of 2 years of Phase 1 PACU experience and
AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Details - Work in the PACU
(Phase 1) of a Level I trauma center, providing care to a
high-complexity post-operative patient population - Day shift
schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts (0830–1700) - 40
hours per week - On-call requirement of one day per week, plus
every 5th weekend (Saturday and Sunday together) Requirements -
Active RN license (compact or Oklahoma state license), no pending
licenses accepted - Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS,
and PALS - CPAN, TNCC, and CCRN are highly desirable - Minimum 2
years of recent Phase 1 PACU experience in a hospital setting
required; surgical center experience does not qualify - Graduate of
an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required - BSN is highly
desired - Must possess strong critical thinking skills and the
ability to work independently - US Social Security Number required
- Date of birth required for consideration - Two manager or
supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the
previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information - Monitor post-operative patients' levels of
consciousness and recovery from anesthesia, providing updates to
the medical team as needed - Obtain and record vital signs; observe
patients for anesthesia-related side effects - Administer
medications to treat post-operative pain, nausea, and other
symptoms as prescribed - Maintain accurate charting and medical
records in the EMR - Educate patients and their families on
post-surgery care - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from
the facility to qualify; no local candidates accepted - Candidates
must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for
