Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,272 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified OR RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36.00 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care surgical floor experience required. License: Current RN License or multistate compact RN License Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association Must-Have: Stepdown/PCU experience required. Nursing experience in caring for post-operative patients, including those with drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT, or DHT. Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. Assists physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes physiological manifestations, and intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Candidates will care for patients post-operatively and need experience taking care of surgical patients. Ratios are 5:1 for surgical patients and 3:1 for step-down area.
