to find a qualified Neuro RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Neurology

year preferred License: Current RN License issued by the state
Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License.
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American
Heart Association. Must-Have: Stroke experience and NIHSS
preferred. Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing
care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems
ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an
assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing
interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes
in physician orders on assigned patients. Assists physician in the
examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic
procedures and treatment. Obtains and monitors physiological data
of patients, observes physiological manifestations, and intervenes
when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates,
regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with family and
patients in sharing care plans while in the hospital and at the
time of discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital
procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to
appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs
other duties as assigned. This is a Stroke and Neuro unit.
Experience with orthopedic and spine patients is beneficial.
Preferred skills include knowledge of professional nursing theory,
practices, techniques, and procedures. Must have the ability to
organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply
nursing techniques. Strong verbal and written communication skills
are essential. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and
language needs of patients and visitors is necessary. Basic
computer skills are required. An Associate's Degree in Nursing from
an accredited program is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing
is preferred. Preferred certifications and licensure are not
