Supervisory Responsibilities: 1 direct report - HR Coordinator
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide support and guidance to the operations in Pauls Valley,
Oklahoma. The Generalist is required to advise, counsel, and assist
management in the maintenance of an environment dedicated to hiring
and retaining the best qualified Team Members and to provide a safe
and secure workplace where all Team Members will be treated in an
equitable manner, as dictated by State and Federal laws.
Responsible for administering the Workers' Compensation, processing
all claims, reporting, in a timely fashion
Responsible for the safety program; ensuring that monthly
plant-wide safety meetings and committee meetings are held, and all
safety rules are applied and followed with the guidance of the EHS
Manager.
Responsible for some (timekeeping/submittal to Payroll
Administrator_ payroll functions at the California locations.
Responsible for ensuring that all Performance Evaluations are
completed annually by each supervisor/manager.
Responsible for recruiting of all vacant positions through
advertising, agencies (public and private), Team Member referral,
and promotions; to pre-screen, interview, and refer to the hiring
supervisor all qualified applicants.
Assist in the final hiring decision.
Make pre-employment checks and final job offer, to include starting
salary.
Maintain, in accordance with State and Federal laws and Company
Policy, all medical files, personnel files, and any other
appropriate record keeping.
Create and administer incentive programs that may include job
improvement suggestions, Team Member referral programs, safety
awards, etc.
Responsible for enrolling and educating -Team Members in all
benefits offered at Covercraft.
AUTHORITY:
All personnel are responsible for the quality and therefore have
the authority to stop production, if necessary to correct quality
programs.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Advanced knowledge of State and Federal laws that pertain to
employment issues.
Demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills: verbal
and written.
Ability to think strategically.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet
deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's
HRIS and talent management systems.
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:
Two to five years of experience as a human resources
generalist.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a
computer
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
