Job Description:

Oklahoma City Electromagnetic Effects Group is seeking Mid-Level Antenna & Propagation Engineers - Level 3.The candidate will mentor and coach lesser experienced engineers providing knowledge transfer to aid in growing our next generation of engineers. The candidate will provide engineering and technical decisions for Boeing Military Aircraft, Military Derivative Aircraft (AEW&C, AWACS, C-32/C-40, E-4B, VC-25A, KC-767, B-1B, B-2, B-52 and others), Commercial Aircraft (737, 767, 787 and 777), and other diverse projects.- This position supports the qualification of various complex communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components being developed throughout Boeing.- Assignments will provide an excellent opportunity to learn aircraft antenna systems on the various platforms.Assignments may deal with-

  • Partake in activities in the discipline and represent the organization at external events
  • Evaluate operating systems, provide technical training, design electronic components, and develop implementation schedules
  • Review supplier and partner qualification data
  • HIRF/Lightning analysis and test
  • RF Co-Site analysis
  • Antenna Coupling analysis
  • Test Automation for aircraft modificationsOther job responsibilities may include-
    • Completely understand and apply job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts
    • Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
    • Develop solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives
    • Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions
    • Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects
    • Interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers
    • Represent the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
    • Have a collaborative personality and be responsive to customer's needs and also be amenable to working with multiple customers with varying personalities on a day-to- day basis
    • Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time as required
    • Must have understanding and be able to apply: -conversion factors, correction factors, antenna factors, and other EMI/EMC techniques
    • Operate and learn system under test and master the systems that are being tested during the course of testing
    • Develop architectures to integrate systems and components into higher level systems and platforms
    • Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements
    • Define and conduct tests to validate performance of designs to requirements
    • Manage appropriate aspects of supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements
    • Provide support to products throughout their lifecycle by developing root-cause analysis of anomalies and other engineering support as requested
    • Support project management by providing work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and by reporting project status
    • Write appropriate sections of proposals to support development of new business
    • Works under general mentorship
    • Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
    • Must have demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments
    • Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events
    • Highly motivated and must work well in a team environment
    • The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
      • Must currently have at least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
      • Knowledge of antenna, radome, anechoic materials, and dielectric materials design
      • Ability to interpret and apply requirements (such as coverage, frequency, gain, and polarization)
      • Ability to apply knowledge of engineering and scientific methods and tools to optimize and achieve a total system solution (internal and external) with the appropriate antenna type and taking into account environmental effects such as electromagnetic pulse, lightning, and space, platform and system to system radio frequency interaction with the antenna/radome
      • Ability to optimize system and component design through a variety of methods, such as trade studies, in order to meet design goals (such as safety, producibility, and maintainability) by implementing alternative system approaches, architectures, and system-level attributes, while ensuring that antenna and radome requirements are achieved
      • Ability to apply electromagnetic theory to develop new antenna and radome types and technologies
      • Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time as required
      • This position requires that you work out of Oklahoma City, OKPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
        • Active U.S. Security Clearance
        • Knowledge of digital signal processing
        • Experience with CST Studio Suite
        • Experience with ANSYS EMIT
        • Experience with FEKO
        • Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry
        • Previous experience in Antenna, Propagation, and Electromagnetic EffectsTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+1 years' related work experience, Master+3 years' related work experience).
