Fabricator Department: Production Supervisor: Production Supervisor FLSA Status: Non Exempt Prepared By: Human Resources Summary The purpose/objective of this position is to configure and operate mechanical machines including but not limited to Break Press, Rolling Machines, Mechanical Press, Drilling and Boring, Shearing and Cutting Machines, equipment to manipulate or shape steel and aluminum materials used in manufacturing operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform and abide by safety policies and procedures while performing tasks and other related assignments. Review specification documentation and information related to assignments to assure product is manufactured to customer specifications and MAC quality standards Perform daily custom assembly tasks within designated time requirements. Perform, understand, comprehend, and communicate basic math functions primarily related to measurement. Blank, bend, punch, form, etc., on a variety of materials, based on blueprints and other instructions. Configure equipment and calibrate gauge settings, recognize condition of dies, load materials onto the equipment, feed material through machines, and/or position and remove parts from the machines. Keep a record of number of pieces made and of routine equipment maintenance performed. Read work schedule to ascertain production information, such as size, type, and quantity to be processed. Communicate issues of concern and any other pertinent information which effect the productive completion of quality product, schedule of product and safety to Supervisor(s) Perform all related duties as assigned by Supervisor(s) Secondary Functions Clean keep organized the area in which you work during and at the end of the shift. Organize and restock needed parts and materials. Assist other employees, as needed and instructed. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Experience in tractor trailer building or knowledge is preferred. Experience in manufacturing related field is preferred. Mechanical experience is preferred. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Demonstrate the ability to successfully perform basic math and measurement functions. Proficient in basic math Reasoning Ability Demonstrate the ability to read, understand, comprehend, job specifications, measurements and/or detailed drawings. Oral Comprehension and Expression- the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences and then communicate the information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Selective Attention- the ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted Ability to communicate, abide by, verify, and logically respond to safety policies, procedures, and concerns. Finger Dexterity- the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects Manual Dexterity- the ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects Arm-Hand Steadiness- the ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position Must be able to physically inspect own work and perform work in various positions. Must be able to push, pull, and lift various materials. Aluminum, steel and parts Mechanically proficient is necessary Other Requirements

Able to work any shift based on production need. Ability to work assigned shift and/or extended shift hours. Ability to work alone or as a team. Transportation to and from work.
