    The Cashier position provides each guest with a positive customer service experience by providing legendary customer service, keeping the restaurant clean, preparing, packaging, and delivering a hot, quality product that meets our standards. The cashier position requires people who enjoy the hospitality industry and who can execute the physical mechanics of detail service. The primary goal is serving guests in a warm, accommodating, professional way to ensure total guest satisfaction. Cashier team members have a wide range of duties, from keeping the dining area clean to the front counter helping guests through the ordering process while delivering legendary service.

    • Greets and provides our guests with fun, friendly, focused service while taking orders and serving food, beverages and operating a cash register
    • Accurately account for all food and beverage transactions that take place within the outlet
    • Ensure that all payments with the point of sale system are accounted for correctly.
    • Receive cash and make proper changes. Issue receipts when requested or when required.
    • Prepare all logs as required
    • Anticipate the guest's needs and concerns
    • Has full knowledge of all food and beverage products and garnishes being served and is fully aware of all changes to any menu items
    • Check guests' identification in order to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
    • Awareness of product on hand and being proactive to ensure that necessary supplies are always available
    • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of sale, sanitary food-handling practices
    • General restaurant cleaning as directed
    • Be aware of any orders ready to be delivered and ensure they are delivered to guest
    • Refill drinks as necessary
    • Remove serving dishes from the table and take them to the kitchen for cleaning
    • Clean tables and/or counters after guests have finished dining
    • Maintain personal health and sanitation standards (wash hands after using the restroom, etc.)
    • Communicate with outlet regarding needs for supplies as they occur
    • Ensuring that all tables and chairs are cleaned and wiped down prior to the opening and throughout the hours of operation
    • Responsible for the service of products within the outlet
    • You abide by the operating policy and procedures set forth by Traditions Spirits
    • You are aware of all posted information on bulletin boards and in newsletters and will attend any departmental meetings
    • You are flexible and willing to assist others with tasks that may not normally be your responsibility.
    • Any other duties as assignedOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
      • Responsible for his/her appearance and ensures that their uniform is neat, clean, and pressed
      • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail or in person
      • Be observant to all safety concerns surrounding your work area
      • Following all health standards and guidelines established
      • Aware of all potentially hazardous conditions
      • Superior attendance and punctuality
      • Always wear a safety belt when lifting objects over 20 lbs
      • Always wear slip-resistant shoes
      • Always wear cut gloves when chopping, slicing, or cutting any product
      • Create and support an environment of Teamwork by helping a fellow employee or guest, without a second thought
      • Attendance at mandatory meetings, training, workshops, and/or seminars
      • Adhere to organization policies and proceduresREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):
        • High school diploma or equivalent
        • Must be 18 years of age or older
        • Dealing directly with the public. This includes serving guests in restaurant/casino and receiving guests
        • Good oral and written communication skills
        • Mature judgment and professionalism in handling all matters
        • Ability to read, write, and understand orders
        • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
        • Ability to handle cash, give change and balance receipts at the end of the shiftWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
          • Standing and walking during entire shift
          • Reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, shakes, stirs, pouts, carries and pushes
          • Lifts and carries supplies, tubs, and cases, weighing up to 30 lbs
          • Essential hand/eye coordination
          • Work is normally performed in a typical interior restaurant/bar/casino work environment
          • Noise level is moderate to high
          • Moderate or high exposure to cigarette smoke
          • Limited exposure to physical risk
          • Moderate physical effort required
