APPLY ONLINE TODAY! Job Details Assist the Sr. Fleet Maintenance Manager in reaching assigned site goals and metrics. Directs the work of trailer repair mechanics ensuring that safety, quality and productivity standards are maintained. Manages daily vehicle work orders to ensure timely repair. Determines action to be taken on hostling truck and trailer breakdowns. Oversees the clean-up of all hazardous waste material spills. Responsible for the sanitation and physical condition of the repair facility. Maintains vendor network for road breakdowns. Ensures fleet DOT compliance and completion of scheduled preventive maintenance. Assists with the training of new mechanics. Establishes vendor relationships to obtain the most reasonable parts purchase prices for the distribution center. Responsible for sanitation and physical condition of repair facility. Promotes a culture of safety by evaluating the safety performance of all employees and ensuring proper safety measures are in place and addressing any concerns/issues in a timely manner.
